WARNING: Spoilers. Kinda.
So about a month ago I finally got around to reading "Hannibal" by Thomas Harris.
I was kind of putting if off, because I love "Silence of the Lambs" so much, and I didn't want "Hannibal" to ruin the character of Dr. Lecter for me. Well, I didn't....hate it. It was actually rather entertaining and provided me much lulz from its over-the-top-ness. I was disappointed by the ending, as most people are I believe. At first when Hannibal brought Clarice to his home and they started talking, I was all "Not sure if ship?", but then when the whole brain-eating cannibal evil Clarice showed up at the conclusion dancing the night away with Hannibal, I was all
I can see why they chose to change the ending in the movie version. It just takes everything I loved about Clarice in SOTHL and crushes it into little pieces. I mean, sure, there's some romantic tension in SOTL, but it's part of what makes the characters interaction interesting, but once you make them a couple, I dunno, it just feels like a rip-off.
I was also dismayed at the lack of cannibalism going on. I mean, it's a book about Hannibal the cannibal! I expect at least some people-eating to commence. It's hinted at a couple times, I guess, and there's the brain part, but it wasn't enough to leave me satisfied, so to speak. Start chowing down, man!
But yeah, weird book=weird boredom doodles.
The Repo Man is there because my sister and I were discussing how Anthony Head bears a resemblance to Anthony Hopkins, and I started thinking about Hannibal and Nathan hanging out. Just keep him away from the organ supply.
I also added some Hannibal weasels, cus he's constantly compared to minks/weasels/otters and it fits. And some random stuff that has nothing to do with anything.
Ummmmmm...try to ignore the bee. I was eating Bit-O-Honey and got bored. XD
